Water Reclamation
WHAUP develops water reclamation initiative as an alternative and sustainable source of water for industrials, especially in the EEC area. The project utilizes existing technologies in combination with new innovation to add value to wastewater by turning it to demineralized water and premium clarified water which have much higher value at lower cost. In 2021, revenue generated from water reclamation project is 150 million baht, accounting for 8% of total revenue from water sold. This project also benefits to environment and society as it significantly reduces the amount of wastewater discharging, reduces withdrawal of natural water, helps secure natural resources, and mitigates dispute risk with nearby community.
