WHA Utilities and Power and Aisin Powertrain (Thailand) Move Forward with Aisin Powertrain Solar Phase 3, Continuing PPA Partnership to Increase Total Cumulative Capacity to 5.3 MW

Bangkok – Ms. Jareeporn Jarukornsakul (center left), Chairman of the Executive Committee and Group Chief Executive Officer of WHA Corporation (WHA Group), presided over the signing ceremony of a Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the Aisin Powertrain Solar Phase 3 project between WHA Utilities and Power (WHAUP), represented by Mr. Akarin Prathuangsit (second from left), Chief Executive Officer, and Aisin Powertrain (Thailand) (AIPT), represented by Mr. Hiroshi Yanase (center right), Vice President, together with Mr. Kittikhun Tantiprachanupan (second from right), General Manager, and executives from both companies at WHA Tower.

The Aisin Powertrain Solar Phase 3 project involves the installation of a 950-kilowatt Solar Rooftop system. Combined with Phase 1 and Phase 2, the total cumulative installed capacity of the Aisin Powertrain Solar project will reach 5.3 megawatts, reinforcing the long-term partnership between WHAUP and AIPT in advancing clean energy adoption within the industrial sector.

This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of both companies to driving sustainability goals through increasing the use of renewable energy in manufacturing operations, supporting the transition toward Net Zero, and mitigating climate change impacts. The Phase 3 project is expected to help AIPT reduce energy costs by approximately THB 112 million and cut greenhouse gas emissions by more than 14,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent throughout the 30-year project lifespan. This aligns with WHA Group’s mission under the concept of “WHA: Shape the Future for Thailand,” which focuses on developing future-ready infrastructure and energy solutions to drive sustainable growth for Thailand’s industrial sector.
