WHAUP Wins THB 600 Million Contract to Sell Premium Clarified Water to "GULF"; Gearing up Towards Sustainable Business Development





Bangkok – WHA Utilities and Power Public Company Limited (WHAUP) is boosting its Water Reclamation project that provides Premium Clarified Water for industrial use from wastewater treatment systems. It recently signed a contract with Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited (GULF) to supply 1.3 million cubic meters of Premium Clarified Water (Project 2) per year to Gulf’s Tasit 3 and 4 power plants (Gulf TS3 and Gulf TS4) in the WHA Industrial Estate Eastern Seaboard 1. The 15-year contract has a total value of over THB 600 million.

Dr. Niphon Bundechanan, Chief Executive Officer of WHAUP, announced the signing of a contract with Gulf Energy Development to supply from its water reclamation project 1.3 million cubic meters of Premium Clarified Water per year for industrial use. This is the second consecutive contract between WHAUP and GULF, one of the largest power plant operators in Thailand. The 15-year contract is valued at over THB 600 million. With commercial delivery of services beginning in July 2022, the Premium Clarified Water will be used by GULF in its Tasit 3 and 4 power plants located at WHA Industrial Estate Eastern Seaboard 1 (WHA ESIE 1).
