WHAUP Hosts “Beyond Boundaries” Seminar to Drive Thailand’s Industrial Sector Toward Net Zero with Clean Energy and Smart Technologies

Recently, WHA Utilities and Power Public Company Limited (WHAUP) organized the seminar “Beyond Boundaries: The Path to Net Zero through Clean Energy and Smart Innovation” at Holiday Inn & Suites Rayong City Centre. The event aimed to enhance knowledge, build understanding, and prepare industrial organizations in Thailand to move toward their Net Zero targets through the adoption of renewable energy, smart technologies, and systematic carbon data management.

The seminar featured two main sessions:

Session 1: Greenhouse Gas Reduction and Carbon Data Management

The first session provided an overview of national climate-related policies and regulatory requirements, industry readiness for carbon reduction laws, and the importance of transparent carbon reporting. The session also introduced the CO2ZERO platform, which supports organizations in accurately tracking, assessing, and planning their greenhouse gas reduction efforts in alignment with international standards.

In addition, the use of Renewable Energy Certificates (I-REC) was presented as an important mechanism to support industrial carbon reduction.

Session 2: Clean Energy Solutions and Smart Technologies

The second session highlighted clean-energy technologies that support industrial Net Zero goals, including:

Solar and Energy Storage System (Solar & ESS) solutions to enhance energy stability. RENEX, a renewable energy trading platform that increases flexibility and access to clean energy for industrial users

The seminar received highly positive feedback from participants, including both companies located within WHA Industrial Estates and organizations from outside the estates, who showed strong interest in clean energy solutions, carbon management tools, and sustainable operational technologies.

The event reinforced WHAUP’s commitment to being a leader in clean utilities and energy solutions, supporting Thailand’s industrial sector in adapting to national environmental requirements and global sustainability standards. WHAUP continues to advance the country’s transition toward Net Zero in alignment with the mission “WHA: We Shape the Future,” dedicated to building a better and more sustainable future for industries, society, and the nation.
